Adding iCal Calendars to Outlook 2007

A few months ago we added the ability to consume your Milestones and Calendar Events via iCal using a number of compatible external applications such as Google Calendar, Outlook, iCalendar etc.
The following is a quick step by-step guide to add your Teamwork Project Manager Calendar to Outlook 2007 to stay updated on milestones and events.
Step 1
Open Outlook 2007
Click on Calendar from the Outlook Toolbar on the left of the screen

At Digital Crew, we eat our own dog food as they say in the software business; this means we use our own software on a daily basis and it helps us spot the flaws and identify ways to make the product continually better.

Custom Domains now support full unique domains (eg. www.myprojects.com)

The custom site address feature we advertised on this blog and has really taken off for us with lots of customers now using their own custom sub-domain names for TeamworkPM while still hosting their projects on our servers.
We think it's really nice for our customers to really make Teamwork their own by using their own domain name. As far as we know, no other similar product such as BaseCamp or GoPlan offers this ability to their customers.

Company Calendar iCal Feed

We have just released an update that allows you to subscribe to your company calendar from your favorite calendar application such as Outlook, Google Calendar, iCalendar, Sunbird etc
When you view your calendar you will see a link Calendar iCal Feed in the calendar sidebar which will allow you to subscribe to events you or your co-workers add.
Useful Tips
To get the most out of the calendar it is good to use the categories associated with each iCal entry to color code your events in your calendar application. To help, we have automatically created some categories in the feed.

Milestone iCal Feeds : Per Project and All Projects

Keep up to date with your milestone schedule from within Outlook, iCalendar, Google Calendar, Sunbird etc using the new iCal feeds built into your Teamwork Project Manager installation.
You can now subscribe to an ical feed per project and across all projects.
Per Project
Click into the Project View of the project you want to subscribe to and on the left side bar, you will see a small green iCal icon. Clicking this will allow you to consume the link from within another application.

To subscribe to the All Projects Milestones iCal Feed simply click All items, choose All Milest...
