Calendar & iCal Updates - View Tasks in Calendar

One of the most popular feature requests from people is to include Tasks in the Calendar and iCal feed.
Today we rolled out an update that allows people to quickly see tasks due on particular days from the Calender View. You can quickly see the number of tasks per day with late tasks highlighted in red. Clicking on the Tasks will bring you to a new page listing all tasks for that particular day.
This update also bring the following changes:
Calendar is now defaulted to Everybody's Calendar
The calendar view now starts on Sunday

Adding iCal Calendars to Outlook 2007

A few months ago we added the ability to consume your Milestones and Calendar Events via iCal using a number of compatible external applications such as Google Calendar, Outlook, iCalendar etc.
The following is a quick step by-step guide to add your Teamwork Project Manager Calendar to Outlook 2007 to stay updated on milestones and events.

Open Outlook 2007
Click on Calendar from the Outlook Toolbar on the left of the screen

Company Calendar iCal Feed

We have just released an update that allows you to subscribe to your company calendar from your favorite calendar application such as Outlook, Google Calendar, iCalendar, Sunbird etc
When you view your calendar you will see a link Calendar iCal Feed in the calendar sidebar which will allow you to subscribe to events you or your co-workers add.
Useful Tips
To get the most out of the calendar it is good to use the categories associated with each iCal entry to color code your events in your calendar application. To help, we have automatically created some categories in the feed.

Everyone's Calendar

The calendar is working out great for a whole load of people but another common request is to have an Everybody's Calendar option in the calendar chooser drop down.
Today's enhancement to the calendar allows you to view a full calendar of all peoples scheduled events on the same page.
No longer do you have to choose their specific calendar to see what they are up to. We also added in the persons name next to the event to make it easier to see who scheduled what.

Calendar Updates : Edit Event in Place

Finally the big permission architecture change is in place and working well, so its back to fine tuning various aspects of the existing features.
One of the areas that a lot of people requested changes is the calendar view and we couldn't agree more. We have just rolled out a small but important change in how you edit events.
Before you had to select the day and edit the events from the days events list on the left hand side.
This was unintuitive and cumbersome so its been enhanced. Now, all you have to do is click the event in the calendar day and a lightbox popup event editor is displayed...
Calendar Functionality : Live For Testing

Today we launched a test version of the My Calendar feature.
The calendar is a frequently requested addition to Teamwork Project Manager and will definitely help you to organize your day. You can add calendar events quickly and easily such as meetings, birthdays, conference dates etc which can be viewed by your team members!
