  1. What is the Dashboard?

    The Dashboard is the first page your users see when they log in to your Teamwork account.

    The Dashboard shows the latest activity from your last 10 active projects. You can also see Upcoming Tasks, Milestones, Calendar Events, Tasks due today and late tasks and Milestones.

    The left hand side of the Dashboard lists your projects active in the last 30 days.

  2. Can I set a Dashboard message?

    Yes. If you click Settings in the top right and choose Site Settings, you can provide a message that is displayed to all users who log in to your Teamwork account.

    You can use Markdown to format the message that appears on the Dashboard.

    You can use this message area to provide instructions to your users, notify users of important messages or store links to other services.

    Note:

    If your users have access to only one project, they will be directed to the Project Overview of the project they have access to and will not see the Dashboard or Dashboard Message.

  3. When do the Late/Today/Upcoming tabs show?

    The Dashboard tabs alert you to late and upcoming tasks & milestones across all the projects you are a member of. It will also alert you of any Calendar Events that you may be involved in.

    Tasks

    • If you have late tasks you will see the Late Tasks tab show on the Dashboard
    • If you have tasks due today you will see the Todays Tasks tab show on the Dashboard
    • If you have tasks due within 7 days you will see the Upcoming Tasks tab show on the Dashboard

    Milestones

    • If you have late milestones you will see the Late Milestones tab show on the Dashboard
    • If you have milestones due within 30 days you will see the Upcoming Milestones tab show on the Dashboard

    Deciding what to show...

    You can choose to only show items that are assigned to you or items assigned to everyone. Under each tab you will see a toggle link that let's you switch between seeing tabs for tasks assigned to you and tasks assigned to everyone.

    This is a per user setting.

    You can also have this view filtered to only show items from your Starred Projects.

    Project Overview

    The project overview works in exactly the same way except you only get tabs for items in the project you are currently viewing.

  4. What's the difference between the Dashboard and the Project Overview?

    Dashboard

    The Dashboard gives you information about items across all your projects. It is limited to showing activity from your last 8 recently modified projects.

    The left hand side list all your projects accessed within the last 30 days. You can choose to expand this to show all the projects you are a member of.

    Project Overview

    The Project Overview is exactly the same but only gives you information about items in the current project you are looking at.

    The Project Overview has a full log of activity on the project.
